Cardiovascular contraindication to Commercial Air Travel

q       Uncomplicated MI within 3 weeks of flight
q       Complicated MI (until stable with treatment)
q       Unstable angina
q       Uncontrolled arrhythmias
q       Severe congestive heart failure
q       Uncontrolled severe hypertension
q       Coronary artery bypass grafting or other chest surgery within 2 weeks of flight
q       Eisenmenger syndrome
q       Decompensated major valvular disease, congenital heart disease, or cardiomyopathy
q        Severe symptomatic valvular heart disease
q       Recent percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (until stable and back to usual daily activities)
